The Bonn Technology Campus and Core Facilities at the Faculty for Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MNF)

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has devised an overarching core facility concept that ensures the provision, maintenance and best possible use of large equipment. Click on the links below to find out more about the core facilities set up to date, including the services available, the relevant contacts, the terms of use and the booking system.

The faculty’s own core facilities are gradually being integrated into the Bonn Technology Campus (BTC).

    Flow Cytometry Core Facility

Advancements in flow cytometry, driven by the demand for single-cell analysis of complex cellular networks, have led to state-of-the-art instruments like multi-laser, multicolor, and spectral flow cytometers. Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) remains a key technique for physically isolating these cells, enabling detailed functional and genomic analysis.

Note: "Core Facility" is a term commonly used in academic and research settings to refer to centralized shared resources and services, often related to specialized equipment or expertise.
